Your Home Design & Build Should Be a Transparent Process

Attention to detail is one of our hallmarks and regardless of the size and scope of your home build project, we ensure great communication and transparency.

Every aspect of construction for your beautiful new Thornton custom built home is supervised and all steps of the design and build process are communicated with you. We believe that candid communication with our client helps in every step of home construction.

Our Step by Step Process.

Consultation

There is only one way to ensure a certain outcome in building custom homes and that is to validate every detail before you ever commit to a construction agreement. This is where customizing and personalizing your new home begins. Trey enjoys working with his custom build clients throughout the entire planning and building process - which starts with this consultation.

Design

You will work with our team to guide you through the entire process. We will bring all of the ideas you have, as well as our years of experience, to take the blueprints and make them into working drawings of your newly designed home. You will have the opportunity to create your dream home by adding your input and desires to everything from the floor plan, to the countertops, the fixures, finishes and wall colors.

Budget

You come into this process with a budget and it is our job to help your new custom home fit that budget. We have designed and built custom homes in the Abilene area of all sizes and that fit all types of budgets. We also can help point you in the right direction for design, financing and other needs involved in bringing your dream to life.

Contract

Once we have all of the design and budget details, we will then finalize the contract. This is the process of getting all of these pieces in place and putting it all in writing so you are sure to receive the home you desire and choose. After careful review, both you and TCH will sign and the construction process can begin!

Build

This is where you see your dream home become a reality and take shape before your eyes! We meticulously oversee each phase and element of construction to make sure that you get the quality and excellence that you and your new custom home build deserve. We will keep you up-to-date throughout the process and you are welcome to visit and watch the progress.

Move In

The favorite stage of the client and home builder both - the move-in stage! You are welcomed into your custom dream home and can finally enjoy all of the beautiful design and elements that you helped design and choose. Thornton Custom Homes conceived, designed and built this home with an eye for detail and uncompromising quality - and we cannot wait for you to enjoy it!
